I think your transmitting old photos from last year to the webcam and this is a big April fools joke!

So how much $$$ is it going to take for that small piece of ice to stay floating out of view of the webcam until April 27th

It is official...ice is out in the Seagull Bay and the contest is over til next year!  I can't even believe it myself.  In all my 47 years on the Gunflint Trail, I have never seen anything like this.  It is supposed to rain tonight and this weekend and we are keeping our fingers crossed! I will keep you posted when the rest of Seagull becomes ice free.

Wow!!!  we could have had twice as many guessers and no one would have guessed April 1st.  Now what are the rest of the ramifications for everything else since it warmed up so early?  Blueberries at the first of June?  Early spawn?  Hey, you could probably plant your garden earlier this year up there.
